Eligibility

  • Income limits: Income eligibility tied to HomeSight and WSHFC limits — generally at or below 80% of King County area median income. Verify current limits with HomeSight.
  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Buyer has not owned a home in the last three years.
  • Geographic restrictions: Property must be located in Auburn, Federal Way, Tukwila, or unincorporated King County. A separate HomeSight program covers purchases inside Seattle city limits.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for HomeSight King County Purchase Assistance

Step 1: Contact HomeSight at 206-723-4355 to enroll in HomeSight's homebuyer education and pre-purchase counseling, then work with a HomeSight-approved lender to layer the King County Purchase Assistance loan into your first mortgage financing.
