Eligibility
- Income limits: Gross annual household income below 80% AMI.
- First-time buyer required: Yes — Must be a first-time homebuyer or have not owned a home in the last 3 years.
- Geographic restrictions: Home must be located within an incorporated area of the City of Houston.
- Homebuyer education required: Yes
How to Apply for Houston Community Land Trust Homebuyer Choice Program
Complete an 8-hour HUD-certified homebuyer education course and a CLT Orientation class, then apply when applications reopen. Must contribute $3,000-$5,000 toward closing costs.
