How to Apply for McAllen Housing Commission HCV Homeownership Program

Step 1: Must be a current HCV participant with the McAllen Housing Commission. Contact the McAllen Housing Commission at (956) 686-3951 for eligibility requirements and application details. Must meet minimum income and employment requirements and complete housing counseling.

Notes

Program allows HCV families to apply their voucher toward homeownership instead of rental assistance. Elderly and disabled households may be exempt from certain income/employment requirements. Must not have defaulted on a previous homeownership program mortgage.
