How to Apply for City of Mesquite Down Payment Assistance Program (DPAP)

Step 1: Contact the City of Mesquite Housing and Community Services at (972) 216-6425. Complete an 8-hour HUD-approved homebuyer education course, then submit your application with proof of income, identification, and a signed sales contract for a home within Mesquite city limits.

CDBG-funded program. Covers 50% of total down payment and/or closing costs, not to exceed $10,000. Buyer must contribute minimum 1% of sales price. Debt-to-income ratio must be at or below 43%. Funding available October 1 through September 30 each year on a first-come, first-served basis.
