Up to $30,000 (Deferred Loan)
0% interest deferred loan with no monthly payments required while the homeowner occupies the property as their primary residence. Repayment is required upon sale, transfer, or if the property ceases to be the primary residence.

- Income limits: Household income must not exceed 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for the New Haven-Milford metropolitan area
- First-time buyer required: Yes
- Geographic restrictions: Property must be located within the City of Milford, CT
- Homebuyer education required: Yes
How to Apply for Milford Direct Home Ownership Program
Step 1: Contact Lauren Kelly, CDBG Administrator, at (203) 701-4479 or visit the Milford Community Development Office at Milford City Hall to request an application. Applicants must provide proof of income, attend a HUD-approved homebuyer education course, and contribute a minimum of $2,000 from their own funds toward the purchase.
