Zero-interest deferred-payment loan with no monthly payments and a 15-year term. Forgivable if the buyer lives in the home as their primary residence for the full 15-year term.

Eligibility

  • Income limits: Very-low and low income households as defined by HUD guidelines
  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Must not have owned a home in the last 3 years. Exceptions exist for displaced homemakers.
  • Geographic restrictions: Home must be within Miramar city limits.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for City of Miramar First-Time Homebuyer Program

Step 1: Complete an 8-hour HUD-approved homebuyer education course. Must contribute at least 1% of the sales price from personal funds. Contact the City of Miramar Housing Department or visit investmiramar.org for application details.

Notes

Eligible property types include single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums, and villas. Property must be the primary residence. Funded through SHIP and federal housing funds.
