How to Apply for Montgomery County TX HOME Down Payment Assistance Program

Step 1: Contact Easter Seals Greater Houston at 832-405-4306 to begin the application process. Applicants must complete a HUD-certified homebuyer education class, meet income guidelines below 80% AMI, and qualify for a 30-year fixed-rate FHA, Conventional, USDA, or VA loan. The home must pass an HQS inspection.

Purchase price limit is $282,000 for existing homes and $292,000 for new construction. These limits are significantly below The Woodlands median home prices. This program is more applicable to lower-priced areas of Montgomery County. Debt-to-income housing ratio must not exceed 45%.
