Eligibility

  • Income limits:
    Annual family income must be at or above 50% but not exceed 80% of the national HUD-published median income.
  • First-time buyer required: Yes
    Must be a first-time homebuyer.
  • Geographic restrictions:
    Must live within the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Reservation, which includes much of eastern Oklahoma. Preference is given to Creek citizens. Service area includes Muskogee, Okmulgee, parts of Tulsa, and surrounding eastern OK counties.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for Muscogee (Creek) Nation Mortgage Down Payment and Closing Cost Program

Step 1: Apply through the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Department of Housing. Applicants must be 18 or older, meet credit and financial obligations, and be referred to a HUD certified lender. Cannot be an existing or former Mutual Help Participant of NAHASDA.
