First-Time Homebuyer Programs in Oklahoma

Oklahoma offers a range of homebuyer assistance through the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency (OHFA), available in all 77 counties. OHFA's Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance program provides up to 3.5% of the loan amount toward down payment and closing costs, while the OHFA Dream Program offers the same 3.5% as a true grant that never has to be repaid. Educators can access the OHFA 4Teachers program for reduced interest rates plus DPA, and first responders qualify for the OHFA SHIELD program. Statewide, REI's Home100/Gift100 program from Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma also provides 3.5%-5% in non-repayable gift assistance. These programs can often be combined with FHA, VA, USDA-RD, or conventional 30-year fixed-rate mortgages.
