Grant terms set at closing for newly constructed or rehabilitated homes funded by the URA.

Eligibility

  • Income limits: Household income at or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI).
  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Must not have owned a home in the past 3 years.
  • Geographic restrictions: Must purchase a home within the City of Pittsburgh. Currently only accepting applications for new construction or rehabilitated homes funded by the URA.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for OwnPGH Homeownership Program

Step 1: Complete a HUD-certified First-Time Homebuyer Course. Contact the URA at 412-255-6694 ext. 6721 or email OwnPGH@ura.org. Check the URA website for available properties.

Notes

Over 100 homebuyers have been supported through OwnPGH. Currently limited to URA-funded new construction or rehab properties.
