Zero-interest deferred payment loan secured by a recorded mortgage, promissory note, and declaration of restriction for 30 years. Loan is forgiven at the end of the 30-year term if all conditions are met.

- Income limits: Up to 140% of Area Median Income based on household size
- First-time buyer required: Yes — Must not have owned a home in the past 3 years.
- Geographic restrictions: Property must be located within Palm Beach County. For homes in Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, or West Palm Beach, applicants must first apply through the respective city program.

How to Apply for Palm Beach County SHIP Purchase Assistance Program
Attend two mandatory county orientations and complete at least 8 hours of HUD-approved homebuyer education before applying. Obtain a first mortgage loan approval before submitting an application. Approved counseling agencies include the Urban League of Palm Beach County, R.E.A.C.H., and the West Palm Beach Housing Authority.
