Eligibility

  • Income limits: WSHFC Home Advantage or House Key Opportunity income limits apply; verify current thresholds with your WSHFC lender
  • First-time buyer required: Yes — First-time homebuyer required (no homeownership in the past three years)
  • Geographic restrictions: Property must be located within Pierce County limits, but outside the city limits of Tacoma, Lakewood, Bonney Lake, Auburn, and Pacific
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for Pierce County Down Payment Assistance Program

Step 1: Borrower must contribute a minimum of $1,000 of their own funds (gifts allowed). Pair with a WSHFC Home Advantage or House Key Opportunity first mortgage through a participating WSHFC lender.
