Eligibility

  • Income limits: Individual: below $58,450 per year. Family of 4: below $83,450 per year. All household income of persons 18+ who will reside in the property is counted.
  • Purchase price limit: $544,233
  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Must be a first-time homebuyer.
  • Geographic restrictions: Home must be in Pinellas County. Must be primary residence.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for Pinellas County Down Payment Assistance Program

Step 1: Complete an 8-hour HUD-approved homeownership class (online or in-person). Liquid assets cannot exceed $50,000. A HUD housing quality inspection is required. Contact Pinellas County Community Development for application details.
