  • Income limits: Must be low to moderate income (at or below 80% AMI for Plymouth County area)
  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Must not have owned a home in the past 3 years.
  • Geographic restrictions: Must purchase a single-family home in Plymouth, MA for use as primary residence.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for Plymouth Down Payment Assistance Program

Step 1: Contact the Town of Plymouth Office of Community Development at 508-747-1620 to obtain an application. Complete homebuyer education, provide proof of income eligibility, invest a minimum of 1.5% of the purchase price from your own funds, and submit the application with required documentation.

Notes

Funded by HUD Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). Funds can be used for up to 50% of required down payment and towards reasonable closing costs. Cannot be used for prepaid items. Buyer must invest minimum 1.5% of purchase price from own funds.
