  • Income limits: Must meet City of Rockville MPDU income limits (varies by household size)
  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Must be a first-time homebuyer.
  • Geographic restrictions: Must purchase an MPDU-designated unit within the City of Rockville.
  • Homebuyer education required: No

How to Apply for Rockville MPDU Homeownership Program

Step 1: Complete the MPDU Homeownership Program Application by emailing rockvillempdu@rockvillemd.gov. Applications must be renewed every two years. If eligible, an MPDU certificate is issued within 3-4 weeks and the household is placed on the waiting list. Must qualify for a minimum mortgage of $150,000.

Notes

Separate from the Montgomery County MPDU program. The City of Rockville administers its own MPDU program requiring developers to set aside a percentage of for-sale homes at below-market prices. Contact: 240-314-8300.
