0% interest, no-payment second loan forgiven at 20% per year over 5 years, requiring continued employment with SAPD or SAFD, residence in the home, and completion of homebuyer education.

Eligibility

  • Income limits: Must meet program income requirements.
  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Must be a first-time homebuyer or have not owned a home in the last 3 years.
  • Geographic restrictions: Must be a full-time San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) or San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD) employee, including uniformed officers and cadets. Must purchase within San Antonio city limits.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes
