Up to $75,000 (households at or below 80% AMI); up to $40,000 (81-120% AMI); up to $15,000 (121-140% AMI)
Households at or below 50% AMI: loan deferred for 25 years and forgiven after 25 years if borrower remains in compliance. Households at 51-80% AMI: loan deferred for 5 years, half repaid in monthly payments over 20 years, other half forgiven at end if in compliance.
Eligibility
- Income limits: At or below 140% Area Median Income. Tiered: up to 50% AMI receives most assistance, 51-80% AMI, 81-120% AMI (limited funding, currently on hold), 121-140% AMI.
- First-time buyer required: No
- Geographic restrictions: Home must be located within the city limits of Largo.
- Homebuyer education required: Yes
How to Apply for Sold on Largo Down Payment Assistance Program
Contact one of the City's program administrators: Suncoast Housing Connections at (727) 442-7075 or Tampa Bay Neighborhood Housing Services at (727) 442-4155. Complete a Homebuyer Education class, get pre-approved for a first mortgage, then submit your application through your lender. The home must pass a Uniform Physical Condition Standard (UPCS) inspection.
