Up to $7,500 for first-time homebuyers; up to $10,000 for community heroes (Grant)

Eligibility

  • Income limits: At or below 80% AMI or Florida median family income, adjusted for family size (whichever is higher)
  • First-time buyer required: Yes — As defined by the HUD HOC Reference Guide, including recovering victims of catastrophic loss or natural disasters.
  • Geographic restrictions: Must be a Space Coast Credit Union member. Service area includes Brevard, Indian River, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole, and Volusia counties.
  • Homebuyer education required: No

How to Apply for Space Coast Credit Union Affordable Housing Program

Step 1: Apply through Space Coast Credit Union when obtaining a mortgage. Funds can be used toward principal balance, down payment, or closing costs. Borrower must contribute a minimum of $1,000 toward the transaction.

Community heroes include current or retired law enforcement officers, educators, healthcare workers, firefighters, other first responders, veterans, active-duty military, and their families. Available with conventional fixed-rate, FHA, VA, and other loan types. Funds available while they last.
