Beginning with the 5th year and ending with the 10th year, the mortgage is forgiven at 16.67% per year. The mortgage completely dissolves at the end of the 10th year.

- Income limits: At or below 80% AMI. Family of 4: $89,250.
- Purchase price limit: $304,000
- First-time buyer required: Yes — Must not have owned a home in the past 3 years. Displaced homemakers and single parents as defined by HUD also qualify.
- Geographic restrictions: Property must be located within Upper Darby Township.
- Homebuyer education required: Yes

Step 1: Contact Upper Darby Township Community & Economic Development at 610-734-7625 or one@upperdarby.org. Complete required homebuyer education. Buyer must contribute a minimum of $1,000 toward the purchase.

Federally funded through CDBG. Assistance is a 0% interest forgivable loan. Maximum assistance doubled from $10,000 to $20,000. Price limit for newly constructed homes is $365,000.
