How to Apply for VHFA ASSIST Down Payment Assistance

Step 1: Apply through a VHFA participating lender when obtaining a VHFA MOVE or ADVANTAGE mortgage. The lender will process the ASSIST loan alongside your first mortgage.

Notes

Can be combined with VHFA MOVE or ADVANTAGE mortgage programs. Funds can be used for down payment and closing costs, including reimbursement of upfront mortgage expenses.
