Zero-interest deferred loan forgiven at the end of the 30-year loan maturity, conditioned on living and remaining in the home for the entire term. If conditions are not met, a portion of the loan must be repaid.

  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Must not have owned a home in the past 3 years.
  • Geographic restrictions: Property must be located within West Palm Beach city limits.

How to Apply for City of West Palm Beach First-Time Homebuyers Program

Step 1: Contact the City of West Palm Beach Department of Housing and Community Development. Complete at least 8 hours of HUD-approved homebuyer education. Obtain a first mortgage loan pre-approval from a lender before applying. Note: For homes in West Palm Beach, you must first apply through the city program before seeking Palm Beach County assistance.
