How to Apply for Affordable Homes of South Texas (AHSTI) Homeownership Program

Step 1: Contact AHSTI at (956) 687-6263 or visit their Homeownership Center at 500 S. 15th St., McAllen, TX. Complete the HUD-approved 8-hour homebuyer education class, then work with AHSTI staff on mortgage qualification and home selection.

AHSTI is a HUD-approved counseling agency and CDFI founded in 1976. Also provides homebuyer education courses and foreclosure prevention services.
