Eligibility

  • Income limits: Gross household income cannot exceed $140,760 or 120% AMI, whichever is greater.
  • First-time buyer required: No
  • Geographic restrictions: Must currently live in a grant-eligible area of Baltimore City and have lived there for at least 12 months. Must purchase a home in the grant-eligible area.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for Buy Back the Block

Step 1: Earn a homeownership counseling certificate from a City-approved counseling agency. Work with a program-approved mortgage lender for a fixed-rate mortgage. Visit LiveBaltimore.com/bbb to apply.
