Eligibility

  • Income limits: Household income at or below 80% Area Median Income (AMI) for Broward County
  • Purchase price limit: $568,557
  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Must not have owned a home in the past 3 years.
  • Geographic restrictions: Must purchase a property within the City of Coconut Creek city limits. Eligible properties include single-family homes, townhomes, villas, and condominiums. Mobile homes are not eligible.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for City of Coconut Creek First-Time Homebuyer Purchase Assistance Program

Step 1: Contact the Broward County Housing Finance Division or work with an approved lender. Funds are awarded on a first-come, first-qualified basis. A HUD-approved homebuyer education course is required. Lead-based paint inspections are required for properties built before 1978.
