How to Apply for Louisiana Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC)
Step 1: Apply through an LHC-approved participating lender. The MCC can be layered with any first-time homebuyer loan product except MRB programs. The tax credit increases disposable income, which may help you qualify for a larger loan.
Notes
$5 million statewide program. Can be combined with LHC down payment assistance programs (except MRB). The credit increases the borrower's disposable income and potential loan amount.
