Up to $28,500 (at or below 80% AMI) or up to $14,500 (above 80% AMI) (Forgivable Loan)
Forgiven after 20 years of continuous owner-occupancy without a change in title or ownership. No refinance required for forgiveness.
Eligibility
- Income limits: Income must be at or below 140% of Miami-Dade AMI. 1 person: up to $111,300; 2 persons: up to $127,120; 3 persons: up to $142,940; 4 persons: up to $158,900.
- First-time buyer required: No
- Geographic restrictions: Must purchase in Miami-Dade County.
- Homebuyer education required: Yes
How to Apply for MDEAT Homeownership Assistance Program (HAP)
Step 1: Attend a voluntary Homebuyer Education Course by a HUD-approved Housing Counseling Agency. Apply through the MDEAT Housing Division. Contact 305-375-4653 for details.
