Eligibility
- Income limits: Minimum income of $37,740/year ($3,145/month) for a single-person household. Must have at least 2 years of stable income.
- First-time buyer required: No
- Geographic restrictions: Must live in the Greater New Orleans service area: Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, or St. Charles Parishes.
- Homebuyer education required: Yes
How to Apply for New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity
Step 1: Contact the NOAHH Family Services Department at (504) 609-3340 to schedule an intake meeting. Must demonstrate housing need, ability to repay, and willingness to partner with Habitat. Sweat equity hours and homeownership classes required.

Not a traditional DPA program. NOAHH builds affordable homes and sells them with low-interest mortgages. Currently developing Rising Oaks, a 154-home community in Terrytown, Jefferson Parish. Serves 5 parishes in the Greater New Orleans area.
