- Step 1:
Check your eligibility. The South Shore HOME Consortium program requires household income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income and assets no greater than $75,000. You must be a first-time homebuyer, meaning you have not owned a home in the past three years.

- Step 3:
Contact NeighborWorks Housing Solutions. As the primary housing counseling agency for the Weymouth area, they can help you identify which programs you qualify for and guide you through the application process. Visit nhsmass.org or call 781-422-4204.
- Step 4:
Get pre-approved for a mortgage. Work with a MassHousing-approved lender or a ONE Mortgage participating lender to get pre-approved. Your lender can also help you apply for MassHousing Down Payment Assistance or the ONE Mortgage Program simultaneously.
