- Step 1:
Check your eligibility. DHAP requires household income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income and first-time homebuyer status (no homeownership in the past 3 years). The purchase price limit is $342,000. State programs like Home Sweet Texas do not require first-time buyer status.
- Step 2:
