  2. Step 2:

Contact a local housing partner. Reach out to Homes Bring Hope at (386) 317-5767 or Mid-Florida Housing Partnership at (386) 274-4441 to begin a pre-screening and credit assessment.

  3. Step 3:

Complete homebuyer education. Enroll in a HUD-approved first-time homebuyer course through Mid-Florida Housing Partnership or another approved provider. Mid-Florida Housing Partnership holds classes via Zoom and can be reached at (386) 274-4441.

  4. Step 4:

Get pre-approved for a first mortgage. Work with a lender to determine how much home you can afford. If applying for the Florida Hometown Heroes program, use a participating Florida Housing Finance Corporation lender.
